Samsung Galaxy S21 FE with 45W fast charging support spotted on FCC listing

Although the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE launch has been pushed back by quite a bit, snippets about the smartphone’s specs are still continuing to show up online. Previously, a 3C listing suggests that the Galaxy S21 FE would support only 25W fast charging. However, some new information (via MyFixGuide) from the U.S. FCC (Federal Communications Commission) tells us that one can charge the smartphone at 45W. This puts the Galaxy S21 FE on par with Samsung’s flagship offerings, such as the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S21 series. However, one will have to purchase a 45W charger separately, as the Galaxy S21 FE is all set to follow its non-FE siblings.

The FCC listing also tells us that the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will not ship with a charger in the box. All we get is a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, similar to what we saw in the Galaxy S21. No AKG branded headphones this time around, either. It is somewhat understandable, given the prohibitively high price of the Snapdragon 888 chipset. Samsung has to cut corners wherever possible and the charger and headphones will undoubtedly get the axe first.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

We don’t know a whole lot about the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE specs, other than the fact that it will run the Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM. Previous renders have shown us that it has three rear cameras, but neglects to mention their exact specifications. An FHD+ AMOLED panel is a given, at this point; 120Hz support would be an added bonus. Lastly, Samsung will sell the Galaxy S21 FE in four colour variants, Gray, Light Green, Light Violet, and White. It could be cheaper than its predecessor, too, with one leak suggesting that it could cost between KRW 700,00 and 800,000 (approx Rs 45,000 and Rs 52,000).
