South-Korea based smartphone maker Samsung is gradually rolling out the January 2023 security update for its devices. The company started delivering the latest security update for the first time earlier this week. Over the past few days, the update has been made available to the Galaxy A10, Galaxy A73, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy S21, and Galaxy Z Flip. Now, the tech giant has started releasing the January 2023 security update to its Galaxy S22 smartphone models.

The latest update for the Galaxy S22 series has been made available to carrier-unlocked devices in the US. The update includes a January 2023 security patch bearing the firmware version S90xU1UES2BVL4 and patches a number of security flaws. The Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra devices on the AT&T, Comcast, Cricket, US Cellular, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile networks are currently receiving the update.

The update is now available for download on any Galaxy S22 series devices that are carrier-unlocked. If you reside in the US, follow these steps to download the latest January 2023 security update on your Galaxy S22 device:
Go to the Settings menu on your Galaxy S22 series smartphone.
Tap on the Software Update option.
Then, hit the “Download and install” button.
Earlier in 2022, Samsung released the Galaxy S22 series with the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 operating system. Then, a few months ago, the devices received the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update.
