A few weeks ago Samsung announced that it will launch the new Exynos chipset on January 11. The chipset was rumoured to be the Exynos 2200 chipset. The company has reportedly made the next generation SoC closely in partnership with AMD. The tech giant has now reportedly delayed the launch of the Exynos chipset. The brand has even deleted the Tweet in which it announced the original launch date of the chipset. It was also rumoured that the SoC will be used in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 series for several markets.
According to known tipser IceUniverse, “Samsung postponed the release of Exynos2200. Since last year, the release of Samsung exynos has not been smooth. In fact, the Exynos 1200 was originally planned in November, but it was cancelled halfway. It seems that many things happen inside Samsung LSI, but not a good thing.”
Samsung is also reportedly planning to launch the Samsung Galaxy S22 series at a Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event on February 8. The smartphones were said to be powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset or the Exynos 2200 SoC depending on the market. Now, if the Exynos chipset isn’t ready, then the company may launch the Snapdragon SoC powered Galaxy S22 series globally.
