Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus specs on FCC
According to the FCC listing, the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus pack 25W fast charging support. The vanilla model’s battery unit bears the model number EB-BS912ABY and has a capacity of 3785mAh (should be marketed as a 3,900mAh unit). The Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus’s battery unit has the model number EB-BS916ABY battery and a capacity of 4,565mAh battery (should be promoted as 4,700mAh battery).
The FCC listing shows the phones will use the Qualcomm SoC, which should be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Notably, these are European models on the FCC website, suggesting that Samsung is indeed skipping Exynos in favour of Qualcomm in Europe and the rest of the world, as earlier rumoured. The phones will come with 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. That’s pretty much everything that is revealed about the phones via the certification.
Moving along, earlier leaks have claimed the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus would come with a 6.6-inch display, while the standard model gets a smaller 6.1-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. They both are likely to run on Android 13-based OneUI 5.0 custom skin out of the box. The chipset is likely to pack 8GB/12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.
