Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 1TB memory variant may also not be enough for you: here’s why

Why is 1TB of memory insufficient in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra?

The main camera on the premium Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra features a 200MP camera module. On the one hand, this is beneficial since the better the detail, the more light captured, and so on, but there is a drawback – the size of the image. When saving a photo in JPEG format, no problems are expected, even at high resolutions, but shooting in RAW format can be different. A report by ixbt.com says that a 50MP RAW shot taken with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s main camera on a bright sunny day is 127 MB. A 200MP image in the same format will, of course, be considerably larger.

It should be mentioned that the amount of storage space needed for photographs and videos can be managed and minimised. To free up space on the phone itself, you might use cloud storage services or backup your contents to an external hard drive.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra India price, storage variants

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is launched in three storage variants in India, including the 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and the top-end 12GB+1TB, priced at Rs 124,999, Rs 134,999, and Rs 154,999, respectively. It comes in three colour variants – Phantom Black, Cream, and Green.

Meanwhile, in terms of camera, the smartphone offers a quad-rear camera setup. There’s a 200MP Samsung HP2 primary camera with f/1.7 aperture and 85-degree FoV, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 120-degree FoV, a 10MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, along with another 10MP telephoto sensor with 10x optical zoom with f/4.9 aperture. A 12MP selfie snapper is equipped on the front.
