Samsung Galaxy smartphones and laptops get a new Phone Link feature: What is it and how to use – Times of India

A new feature has just arrived for Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones and laptops, letting users experience seamless browsing between their devices. The latest update for Phone Link adds a new ‘Recent Websites‘ feature, coming first to Samsung Galaxy smartphones and Galaxy Book laptops. The ‘Recent Websites’ feature will let users continue browsing from their Galaxy smartphones to Galaxy Books without hassle.
What is the ‘Recent Websites’ feature?
Samsung’s new feature allows you to easily switch between your Galaxy smartphone and a PC or laptop running Windows 10 or Windows 11 while browsing the internet. You just need to connect your phone to your PC using a specific app, and then you can easily access the websites you were browsing on your phone on your PC.
How to use Recent Websites on Galaxy smartphones and Galaxy Book
Samsung’s new feature, Recent Websites, eliminates the need to manually search for and open recently visited websites on both your Galaxy smartphone and Windows PC. Instead, a list of recently accessed websites will be readily available through a flyout menu on the bottom right corner of the taskbar on your Windows PC.
This feature is only available for Galaxy phones running One UI 3.1.1 or newer and Windows 10 (20H1), and it requires the installation of the Link to Windows Service (version 2.3 or newer). This feature makes it much easier and faster to switch between devices while browsing the internet without the need to search for previously visited websites manually.
To ensure optimal performance, Samsung advises using the same Wi-Fi network to connect the Galaxy smartphone and the Windows PC when using the Recent Websites feature. However, it is possible that the feature may still function when the phone is connected to the internet through a cellular network.
The feature will be rolling out soon through the Windows Phone Link app.
