Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 Event likely to take place on February 9

NEW DELHI: Samsung has recently confirmed that it will launch its next-generation flagship smartphone series in February at the company’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. The smartphone has just revealed the month and there’s still no word about the official launch date. However, a new leak has surfaced online revealing the expected launch date of the Galaxy S22 series.

A new leak suggests that Samsung may launch the Galaxy S22 smartphone series on February 9. The company is said to launch three new smartphones under the series — Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The company has also started taking pre-orders for the upcoming smartphone series in the US.

According to popular tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks), a promotional image of the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event reveals the date and time. According to the poster, the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 launch event will take place on February 9. The poster suggests that the event will begin at 3 pm. The tagline on the poster reads, ” “The Epic Standard”. The company has not yet confirmed the launch date. However, Samsung is expected to confirm the launch date in the coming days.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series rumoured specifications
As per previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphone will feature a 6.06-inch dynamic AMOLED display. For context, the Samsung Galaxy S21 comes with a 6.2-inch display. The Samsung Galaxy S22+ is rumoured to have a 6.5-inch dynamic AMOLED display and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to sport LTPO Dynamic AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution. The displays of the smartphones are rumoured to have a refresh rate up to 120Hz.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S22 series will be reportedly powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset or the Exynos 2200 SoC depending on the market.

The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ are rumoured to feature a triple rear camera setup, with a 50MP primary lens, a 10MP telephoto lens with support for 3x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies and video calls, the smartphones are rumoured to sport a 10MP camera at the front as seen on Samsung Galaxy S21 and Samsung Galaxy S21+. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to have a 108MP + 12MP + 10MP triple camera setup at the back and a 32MP selfie shooter at the front.
