Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 new update adds this battery-related feature – Times of India
How to check Galaxy Watch 5 battery health on smartphones
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro users can now check the battery health of their smartwatches on the Samsung Members app on paired phones. According to a report by Sammobile, this new feature is called ‘Connected Device Diagnostics’. The battery health of your smartwatches can also be accessible from the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone.
Importance of the feature
Apart from this, users can also run diagnostics on the smartwatch’s loudspeaker, touchscreen and other features. This new feature doesn’t claim to improve the smartwatch’s battery life. However, it will allow users to keep an eye on their wearable’s battery health. This feature will also help users to adjust their charging habits to get a longer battery lifespan.
Moreover, this feature will also notify users when it’s time to replace their smartwatch’s battery. The report adds that this feature may arrive for the Galaxy Watch 4 series as well. Samsung recently rolled out a similar diagnostics feature for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro with the latest update. However, the report didn’t mention if this feature will arrive for older smartwatches like the Galaxy Watch 3 and the Galaxy Watch Active 2.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is priced at the company’s official website for Rs 30,999. Meanwhile, the Pro variant carries a price tag of Rs 44,999.
