Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 to support the S Pen Pro, reveals online listing – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics giant Samsung is all set to host its next Galaxy Unpacked event in August. The company is expected to launch its next generation foldable smartphones, smartwatches and true wireless earbuds.
A new leak reveals that Samsung’s new foldable smartphone will reportedly come with S Pen support. The new FCC filings suggest that Samsung will introduce a bigger version of S Pen with Bluetooth connectivity at the launch event. The listing reveals that the upcoming stylus will work with the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It is also expected that the new S Pen will also work with S21 Ultra, the Note 20 lineup and more.

The upcoming S Pen is said to be backed by a 100mAh battery and it will be charged via USB Type C. It is also expected that the company will sell the S Pen separately and you will have to shell out more money if you want to purchase one. Presently, the S Pen introduced with Galaxy S21 Ultra costs $40, so there are chances that the new stylus will be more expensive.
Earlier this year, Samsung confirmed that it will not launch new Galaxy Note series smartphones. DJ Koh, co-CEO of Samsung’s IT and Mobile Communications division said that the reason behind this is the shortage of chips and clash with the existing products.
DJ Koh said, “Galaxy Note is an important product category to us that has been continuously loved by consumers for the past 10 years in the global market. The S Pen user experience is an area that Samsung’s mobile business has worked harder on than anybody else. Their launch timing may be different, but we will make sure that we don’t let Galaxy Note consumers down.”
