Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Z Flip4 receiving OneUI 5.1 update – Times of India

Samsung’s latest foldable smartphones – Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 – are now receiving the OneUI 5.1 update. Alongside, the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 series, the two foldable smartphones are also being updated to OneUI 5.1, reports several users.
As of now, the OneUI 5.1 update seems to be rolling out for users in certain European regions such as Germany and Portugal. Some users in India are reportedly also receiving the OneUI 5.1 update. We can expect the update to be rolled out to other areas soon.
The size of the OneUI 5.1 update may vary based on the device. Further, it includes the February 2023 security update.
OneUI 5.1 which although is not a significant update, brings some noteworthy improvements to the user interface. The personalization and productivity have been improved, and there are new additions to the Weather, Samsung Internet and more.
The Gallery app on OneUI 5.1 allows users to enhance their photos similarly to the Pixel’s “Photo Unblur” tool. Further, the Expert RAW app has been added to some devices running OneUI 5.1, such as the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
The multitasking experience has been improved with corner drag gestures for easy access to and from full-screen mode and Modes and Routines that mimic the “Focus” feature in iOS 16. The update also introduces several new home screen widgets, including a Spotify suggestions widget and quick panels for the Settings.
The OneUI 5.1 update was introduced alongside the Galaxy S23 series. The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra come running OneUI 5.1 on top of Android 13 out-of-the-box.
Further, the older foldable smartphones of Samsung – Galaxy Z Flip, Z Flip 5G, Z Flip 3, Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Z Fold 3 – will also be updated to the OneUI 5.1 in the coming weeks.
