Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 with 50MP primary camera, new multitasking capabilities launched
As far as changes and improvements are concerned, the foldable smartphone comes with improved performance, camera capabilities, features and more.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, according to the company, is now lighter by 8grams compared to the Z Fold4 and it also features a better and improved hinge mechanism which is now Veritas certified. Apart from that, Z Fold4 also comes with stronger Ultra thing glass protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+.
Samsung has also added a new taskbar at the bottom to improve the multitasking capabilities of the smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4: Specifications
Samsung Galaxy Z Flold 4 essentially features an almost similar design as its predecessor. However, it now weighs 263 grams which are lighter by 8 grams than the Z Fold 4. Also, the company has made some improvements in the hinge mechanism and it now comes with Veritas certification.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 smartphone comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display with a 2316 x 904 pixels resolution and adaptive refresh rate of 48Hz and 120Hz. When you unfold the device, there’s a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display with a 120Hz refresh rate with Adaptive refresh rate support between 1Hz and 120Hz. Samsung has also made some improvements in terms of display with Z Fold 4. For starters, the primary display now has 1300 nits of peak brightness and it comes with a stronger Ultra-thin glass along with Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the top. The display also supports S Pen input.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes with Qualcomm’s latest chipset — Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB storage.
The handset packs a total of five cameras. Three at the back of the phone and two as the front camera on both the displays. The primary display sensor is an under-display camera unit.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flold 4 also comes with improved camera capabilities as it now features a 50MP primary sensor which, according to the company, can capture 23% brighter images compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Apart from that, the handset packs a 12MP Ultra wide sensor and a 10MP 3X telephoto zoom lens. The handset can also shoot up to 30X space zoom shots. The company has also added the ‘Nightography’ feature to the smartphone.
The outer display front-facing camera is a 10MP sensor while the under-display unit is a 4MP sensor.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 runs the Android 12L operating system underneath the One UI 4.1.1 user interface which now comes with an all-new taskbar for better multitasking along with an improved multi-window feature.
The handset is backed by a 4400mAh battery and it supports 25W fast charging.
