Samsung may not launch Galaxy Note 22 series, here’s why – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Earlier this year Samsung announced that it will not be launching the new Galaxy Note series smartphone this year. The company decided to give Galaxy Note 21 a miss due to chip shortage and clash with the existing products. In order to compensate for the users and to offer a premium S Pen experience, the tech giant rolled out S Pen support in the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Now, it appears that the company is in no mood to launch Galaxy Note 22 and there are chances that Samsung is doing away with the series. Popular leakster, Ice Universe has revealed that the company is thinking of not launching a Galaxy Note series smartphone next year as well. The tipster tweeted, ” Note is over, but it’s not over. S becomes Note!”. This means that Samsung is planning to integrate more features of the Galaxy Note in the upcoming Galaxy S22 series.

The tipster suggests that apart from software features the company is also planning to borrow some design elements of the Galaxy Note series. There are chances that the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra might sport a slab like design that was found in the Galaxy Note series. Along with this, just like its predecessor, the smartphone will come with S Pen support as well.
The leakster also revealed that the company will not be bundling the S Pen with the smartphone and that users will have to purchase it separately.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S22 smartphone series in January next year. It is also said that Galaxy S22 will be the first smartphone of the company to come with the Samsung/AMD GPU.
Samsung is said to bring a 6-inch Galaxy S22, 6.55-inch Galaxy S22+ and 6.81-inch Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone. The display on the Samsung Galaxy S22 model is said to sport a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to come with dynamic refresh rate alteration. This feature will reportedly boost the battery life of the big-screen smartphone.
