Samsung One UI 4.0 launch timeline revealed, Galaxy S21 series to get the update first
NEW DELHI: According to a known tipster, Samsung is expected to announce the new One UI 4.0 beta based on Android 12 in August. The announcement has been made by one of Samsung’s community managers.
As per Ice Universe, the Samsung community manager also posted a banner inviting the Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra users to sign up for the beta programme. The tipster also claimed that Samsung could start rolling out the beta for the Galaxy S21 series in August. The tipster further added that the stable version of the operating system may be rolled out in November or December.
The Samsung One UI 4.0 beta programme is available for all those who have unlocked phones and also for those who bought them from carriers.
On the other hand, another tipster named Chun tweeted that Samsung Galaxy S21 series will start receiving the first beta in August and stable version by second week of December. The tipster also added that with One UI 4.0 the company will completely revamp the user interface.
With Samsung One UI 4.0 the company will introduce a new icon design and colour scheme. Along with this, Samsug is also expected to make some changes to its Notes app.
Meanwhile, Samsung’s flagship smartphone of 2020 has received a price drop in India. Samsung Galaxy Note 20 launched last year has received a price cut of Rs 22,000 in the country.
After the price cut you can purchase the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 at Rs 54,999. The new price is reflected both on the company website and on Amazon.in. After the price cut, the smartphone will give tough competition to the recently launched OnePlus 9 which is also retailing at Rs 54,999.
