Samsung rolls out December 2022 security update for Galaxy A12

Samsung has begun releasing the December 2022 Android security patch for a handful of its Galaxy smartphones. The South Korean technology company has released the security update to the Galaxy A12 series in the US. The update comes with the December 2022 security patch.
According to a report by Sammobile, the software update for the Galaxy A12 comes with the update for the international model (SM-A125F) bearing the firmware version to A125FXXU2CVL1.

On the other hand, the firmware versions for the US carrier-locked (SM-A125U) and South Korean (SM-A125N) variants have the firmware versions A125NKSU2CVL1 and A125USQS5CVL6. The update has a download size of close to 400MB and is rolling out on AT&T’s network in the US, the report mentions. The new security patch fixes 93 security vulnerabilities that are found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

Samsung Galaxy A12 specifications
Samsung Galaxy A12 has a 6.5-inch HD+ PLS TFT display of 720x1600p resolution with 20:9 aspect ratio. It comes powered by an octa-core Exynos 850 SoC, with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The handset offers support for a microSD card of up to 1TB.
For images, the handset packs a quad rear camera setup, which includes a 48MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, the smartphone packs an 8MP sensor.

Backed by a 5000mAh battery, the new Galaxy A12 offers 15W fast charging. It offers dual SIM support and in terms of connectivity, it offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A12 smartphone with One UI Core based on Android 11 onboard.
