Samsung rolls out November 2022 security update to Galaxy A40, Galaxy Tab S7 FE – Times of India
“According to Samsung’s documentation, the November 2022 security patch fixes 46 security vulnerabilities. Three of those are critical, while 32 are marked as high priority. The new patch includes a fix for one moderate vulnerability and ten vulnerabilities specific to Samsung’s Galaxy phones and tablets,” reported Sammobile.
The latest software bearing the firmware version–A405FNXXU4CVK1 is currently available for users in Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. The update is likely to include common bug fixes and stability improvements alongside the security vulnerabilities.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Tab S7 FE with firmware version– T736BXXS1BVK8 is also receiving the November 2022 security patch update. The latest update is currently available for users residing in Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Nordic countries, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Southeast Europe, Spain, Switzerland, the Baltic region, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and the UK.
As of now, the Samsung Galaxy is not eligible for the One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13, while the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is ready to receive the Android 13 update. However, the tablet hasn’t received the update yet.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A40 smartphone in Europe in 2019. The smartphone comes in Black, Blue, White and Orange colour options. The smartphone is priced at 249 euros (approximately Rs 19,520).

The Samsung Galaxy A40 comes with a 3D Glasstic back and a 5.9-inch full HD+ Infinity U Super AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 1080×2280 pixel resolution. The device is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7885 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone packs 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 512GB by adding a microSD card.
