Samsung is set to expand its mid-range smartphone lineup in India. The company has shared a teaser to reveal the launch date of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M53 5G. According to Samsung India‘s website and Amazon, this new smartphone will launch in India on April 22 at 12 pm. Samsung Galaxy M53 5G was released globally earlier this month and will be the successor to the Galaxy M52 5G, which was released in India in 2021. The upcoming handset will retain the 120Hz refresh rate display from last year’s phone. The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is expected to feature a 108-megapixel primary rear camera, a 120Hz Super AMOLED+ display, a hole-punch display design and will support 25W fast charging.

Samsung has not revealed the official India pricing of the upcoming device. However, the new handset is expected to be priced around last year’s Samsung Galaxy M52 5G. In 2021, Samsung released the base variant of Galaxy M52 5G, with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage at Rs 29,999. Meanwhile, the top model with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option was priced at Rs 31,999. The company has revealed that the Galaxy M53 5G will be available in a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and rumours reveal that the upcoming phone might also have variants with other configurations.
Samsung Galaxy M53 5G specifications expected specifications
The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is expected to sport a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The company has not mentioned the processor that will power this phone, the only available information is that the upcoming phone will pack an octa-core SoC.
The upcoming handset will feature a quad rear camera setup that will include — a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone will house a 32MP front shooter for selfies and video calls.
Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is likely to support storage expansion up to 1TB using a microSD card. For security, the phone will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. For connectivity, the upcoming device will be equipped with a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
