Samsung starts taking pre-orders for Galaxy S22 smartphones series

NEW DELHI: Samsung has already confirmed that it will launch its next-generation flagship smartphone series next month. Now, the South Korean tech giant has started taking pre-orders for the upcoming Galaxy S22 smartphones series. Samsung will launch the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones next month.

Samsung is now allowing customers in the US to pre-order the next Samsung flagship smartphone and the upcoming Galaxy Tab S8. The company is now taking reservations on its official website. The company mentions that users who will pre-order the smartphone will get a credit of $50 (roughly Rs 7,000) which can be used to purchase other Samsung products from the company website. Samsung has not yet revealed the official launch date for the Galaxy S22 smartphones series but as per rumours the company will unveil the smartphones on February 8.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series rumoured specifications
As per previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphone will feature 6.06-inch dynamic AMOLED display. For context, the Samsung Galaxy S21 comes with a 6.2-inch display. The Samsung Galaxy S22+ is rumoured to have a 6.5-inch dynamic AMOLED display and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to sport LTPO Dynamic AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution. The displays of the smartphones are rumoured to have refresh rate up to 120Hz.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S22 series will be reportedly powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset or the Exynos 2200 SoC depending on the market.

The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ are rumoured to feature a triple rear camera setup, with a 50MP primary lens, a 10MP telephoto lens with support for 3x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra wide angle camera. For selfies and video calls, the smartphones are rumoured to sport a 10MP camera at the front as seen on Samsung Galaxy S21 and Samsung Galaxy S21+. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to have 108MP + 12MP + 10MP triple camera setup at the back and a 32MP selfie shooter at front.
