Strengthening its lifestyle product portfolio, consumer electronics brand Samsung has launched its premium triple-laser 4K projectors in India. Dubbed The Premiere, the projectors claim to offer a big-screen cinema viewing experience in the comfort of home.
The Premiere lineup includes two projectors — LSP7T and LSP9T and both are ultra-short throw projectors that means, users don’t need to ceiling mount these projectors to an optimal and distraction-free viewing experience.
In fact, Samsung has mentioned that these projectors can be placed on a coffee table or chest of drawers and can be as close as 11.3cm distance from the wall to project a high-quality screen of up to 130-inch.
The Premiere projectors feature a compact all-in-one design that according to the company can blend into a variety of interior settings and arrangements of the space.
Other features of the projectors include HDR10+ support, 40W speakers with built-in subwoofer and more.
The Premiere LSP9T, LSP7T: Price and availability
The Premiere projectors will be available starting today (August 10) via Samsung official online store, Samsung Shop and at select Samsung Smart Plaza stores. The LSP9T model of The Premiere is available at Rs 6,29,900 while the LSP7T costs Rs 3,89,900.
Early bird buyers will get Amazon Echo Plus for free when buying any of the two projectors via Samsung official online store.
The Premiere LSP9T, LSP7T: Features
The Premiere LSP7T and LSP9T, both are 4K projectors, however, the LSP9T can produce screen size of up to 130-inch, while the more affordable version LSP7T can deliver up to 120-inch screen size.
The LSP9T features a triple-laser technology, while the LSP7T uses a single-laser technology. The triple laser technology enables the LSP9T to deliver bright and clear pictures even during daytime. It also helps with a wider colour gamut for a better and accurate colour output.
In triple laser technology, the projector features a dedicated laser for each colour Red, Green and Blue. This allows the projector to process the colour better and offer detailed and vivid output.
The Premiere LSP9T is also HDR10+ certified and Samsung says it’s the world’s first project to come with HDR10+ support.
The projectors can deliver a peak brightness of up to 2800 lumens and a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1.
In addition to that, the duo comes with a Filmmaker mode, a specifically tuned visual setting that is designed to deliver the output as the director intended it to be. The projectors also feature Samsung’s Smart TV platform and it comes pre-installed with popular OTT apps like Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Zee5, etc along with Samsung TV Plus.
The projectors also support Tap View and Mirroring features. With the feature enabled, users can simply tap on the top right corner of the projector to mirror their smartphone’s screen.
Samsung has also kept the projectors well covered in terms of audio. The Premiere comes with a 40W and 4.2 channel speaker setup on LSP9T. The LSP7T, on the other hand, features a 30W and 2.2 channel speaker setup. Both come with built-in subwoofers and Samsung’s Acoustic Beam surround sound technology.
