Samsung to reportedly not launch Galaxy S24+ model next year – Times of India

Samsung is all set to launch its next-generation premium smartphones series — Galaxy S23. However, the internet is already buzzing with leaks of Samsung Galaxy S24. A new report has surfaced online revealing some details about the Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone series which is expected to launch next year.
According to a report by The Elec, Samsung is planning to reduce the number of smartphones in the Galaxy S24 smartphone series. The report reveals that there are chances that the South Korean smartphone maker may reduce the number of smartphones from two to three under the series. The report suggests that Samsung may only launch the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Ultra and may do away with the Galaxy S24+ smartphone.

“Currently, the Galaxy S24 project is called DM internally. It currently has two sub-projects DM1 and DM3. There should be a DM2 but this is noticeably absent. Judging from the naming convention for prior S models, DM1 is likely the standard Galaxy S24 and DM3 Galaxy S24 Ultra. It is highly likely that DM2 was planned to be scrapped sometime afterwards,” mentioned the report.
Samsung Galaxy S23 launch
Samsung has scheduled its first Galaxy Unpacked event for the year. The company has confirmed that it will launch its flagship Galaxy S23 series of smartphones on February 1, 2023. The yet-to-launch Galaxy S23 series will consist of three smartphones — Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Out of the three, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is the most-premium smartphone and the Galaxy S23 is the most affordable one.
Samsung has also started the process of pre-reservation in India. Customers in India can pre-reserve a Galaxy S23 series of smartphones by paying Rs 1,999. The customers who will pre-reserve the smartphone will get benefits worth R 5,000.
