Samsung to unveil new Wear OS at MWC 2021 – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Tech giant Samsung confirmed that it will be attending one of the biggest tech shows — the Mobile World Congress. The company revealed that it will attend the event virtually.
Samsung also said that during the first day of the conference that is on June 28 it will hold a Galaxy Experience keynote. During the keynote, the company will reveal the latest things in the Galaxy ecosystem, the new watch experience and mobile security.
So, this means that Samsung will reveal more details about the yet-to-launch Galaxy smartwatches and the new Wear operating system.
The official description of the event reads, “The Galaxy Experience is grounded in the idea that innovation should empower people. The Galaxy ecosystem of connected devices, services, and partnerships provide people with choice, freedom, and possibility. We’re reimagining smartwatches, creating new opportunities for both developers and consumers. And we’re enhancing security, giving people the protection they need in an open and connected world.”
Recently, two upcoming Samsung smartwatches received Chinese certification. Likely to be called Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4, the smartwatches will come with a 5W charger.
According to sources, the Galaxy Watch Active 4 will come with 39mm and 43mm versions. On the other hand, Galaxy Watch 4 will come in 41mm and 45mm sizes.
The new wearables are expected to launch at the August Galaxy Unpacked event. Along with the smartwatches the company is also expected to launch its latest foldable smartphones and Samsung Galaxy S21 FE smartphone at the same event.
