Samsung’s Galaxy S21 FE 5G gets certified again; full specs and images listed

UPDATE: More Galaxy S21 FE specifications have leaked alongside images of the phone. The updated story continues below.

###

The colorful Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G has been certified in China and the device listing corroborates several specifications as well as the smartphone’s design. The development follows a marketing render leak last week.

A 6.4-inch display, up to 256GB of storage, and microSD card support

Per the details included in the certification listing (via MySmartPrice), the Galaxy S21 FE 5G features a 6.4-inch display complete with a Full-HD+ (2340 x 1080p) resolution. It’s expected to be an AMOLED panel with support for a 120Hz refresh rate, though these details aren’t corroborated.

Also included is a 4,370mAh battery, rumored to support 45W fast charging tech, and an octa-core chipset that’s expected to be the Snapdragon 888. Per the information, that’ll be coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage as standard.

A 256GB variant will be available for those who want more and if that still isn’t cutting it, you’ll be pleased to hear that Samsung is reintroducing the microSD card slot after removing it on the standard Galaxy S21 models.

Lastly, the certification listing from China points to the presence of Android 11. Google’s Android 12 update should be available by the time the Galaxy S21 FE hits shelves in October, but Samsung’s version probably won’t be ready.

From a design perspective, the images attached to the certification listing corroborate everything we have seen before — the Galaxy S21 FE is fitted with a triple-camera setup on the back and a punch-hole selfie camera above the display.

The Galaxy S21 FE’s dimensions are also listed. Specifically, the device is said to measure 155.7mm in length and 7.9mm thick. The width is listed as 4.5mm, but that’s almost certainly a mistake and the real number is likely 74.5mm.

In addition to everything mentioned above, Samsung’s Galaxy S21 FE 5G is said to offer an in-display fingerprint scanner. A recent FCC certification mentioned the presence of Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC support too.
