Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip5 cover display may outgrow Oppo Find N Flip – Times of India

The one complaint that most have with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip is its tiny cover display, which has been growing over the last few iterations but is still very nascent. And Oppo’s Find N2 Flip takes that to its advantage, putting a much larger display on the cover, which serves more purpose than the one on Galaxy Z Flip could. But, things might change soon as Samsung plans to play an Uno reverse on Oppo with its next flip.
The cover screen on Samsung’s next foldable clamshell – the Galaxy Z Flip5 is said to be larger than what we have seen on the Oppo Find N2 Flip, says tipster IceUniverse.
Oppo’s clamshell-style foldable, the Find N2 Flip, has a 3.26 inches display on the outside. Meanwhile, the one on the Galaxy Z Flip4 measures just 1.9 inches, about half of the Find N2 Flip. If the Galaxy Z Flip5 is said to have a bigger cover display than that of the Find N2 Flip, it could be larger than 3.26 inches.
Galaxy Z Flip5 might also offer new features for cover display
The cover display on the Galaxy Z Flip4, which until now can only be used as a viewfinder or for speed dials, and controlling music playback, may soon serve more functions as it grows bigger on the next iteration.
Oppo’s Find N2 Flip offers a much larger screen estate to interact with the screen comfortably and also a much better view as a viewfinder. It does have a lot of similar features and widgets, but because of a larger screen, the content is visible much better, and you can read a lot more text.
While the tipster did not reveal many details about the Galaxy Z Flip5, it seems like Samsung is taking a page out of Oppo’s playbook to refine its Galaxy Z Flip.
However, it is too early to know anything about the Galaxy Z Flip5. So, we suggest taking this rumour with a pinch of salt.
