Since this is a very cheap smartphone, Samsung decided to use its own Exynos 850 chipset, a processor mainly aimed at affordable handsets. It also has the advantage of being developed in-house, so it most likely won’t cost Samsung as much as a Qualcomm or MediaTek chipset.
The Galaxy A04s is a pretty large phone due to its massive 6.5-inch PLS LCD display that features HD+ resolution. It only has support for 90Hz refresh rate, but that’s understandable considering its price.
The 2GHz octa-core Exynos 850 processor is paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory (expandable up to 1TB via microSD). Another main selling point of the Galaxy A04s is the impressive 50-megapixel main camera, paired with two 2-megapixel cameras for macro shots and depth effects, respectively. On the other hand, the 5-megapixel front-facing camera is quite the standard for these cheap phones.
Samsung Galaxy A04s isn’t a 5G phone, but it does support NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth 5.x and dual-band Wi-Fi. Also, the smartphone is powered by a huge 5,000 mAh battery and runs Android 12 right out of the box.
According to Winfuture.de, Samsung Galaxy A04s will be available in three different colors – black, dark green, and white, and will sell for around €170 in Europe.
