Samsung’s upcoming wearable devices appear in the Galaxy Wearable app ahead of the official announcement – Times of India
Samsung is expected to announce new wearables – the Galaxy Watch 5 series and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro – next month. Well, the two – Galaxy Watch 5 and Buds 2 Pro – have appeared in the latest version of the Galaxy Wearable app weeks ahead of the official launch, which is quite similar to what happened last year. The support page for the Galaxy Watch 5 series also went live earlier this month.
A report says that the current version of the Galaxy Wearable app had broken, pushing users to re-install the app. Apparently, Samsung pushed an update, and the app started crashing due to a requirement for Nearby Devices.
The yet-to-be-released Galaxy wearables appear in the Galaxy Wearable app for the second year in the row
To fix the bug, the company pushed another update. Users were made to reinstall the app and re-connect their Galaxy wearable devices. That is when they discovered the listings for the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro on the ‘Select Device’ page, corroborated by an image shared on the Samsung Korea community forum.
There is no official word on when these two will be released, but it could be only a few weeks away. Last year, Galaxy Watch 4 and Buds 2 appeared in the Galaxy Wearable app in July, and the announcement took place a few weeks later in August.
The Galaxy Watch 5 series is said to include two models – Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro would have a more rugged design with titanium and sapphire glass. Also, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro would ditch the rotating bezel.
There is not much known about the Buds 2 Pro, but they are expected to look similar to the first-generation Buds Pro.
