Samsung is setting the ambitious target of seriously challenging Apple in North America this year. Even for a firm as big as Samsung, it’s a daunting task. However, it has a plan. The company aims to bolster flagship market share, expand its presence in the wearable field, and more through its “Tiger” strategy. But do you believe this is enough to take on Apple this year?

We asked readers if they feel Samsung will narrow the gap to Apple in 2021, and the results are now in.

Do you think Samsung will narrow the gap to Apple in 2022?

Results

This poll garnered over 1,200 votes since it went live on January 4. Readers had plenty of time to think this question through, and most readers believe Samsung has what it takes. A 42.6% portion of respondents believe the Korean company will close the gap on Apple this year. Just over a third (33.9%) believe otherwise, while 23.4% adopt a “wait and see” approach.

Head to head: Samsung Galaxy S21 vs iPhone 13 series

Of course, no one has the correct answer yet. We’ll have to wait and see if Samsung’s strategy pays off in the wearable and mobile phone spheres.

Your comments

  • Sanuka Rajith: Samsung can easily do that if they pay attention to software than hardware. That’s the only big thing lagging.
  • Farhan Ahmad Tajuddin: If Samsung really wants to beat Apple, don’t follow in their footsteps. The Galaxy S10 models still remain the best premium flagship series Samsung has ever done, and then it went downhill all because they try to copy Apple’s practice.

That’s it for this poll. Thanks for your votes and comments. If you have any thoughts about the poll results or Samsung’s plans to tackle Apple, drop a comment below.
