Sky, BT and Virgin users offered cheap broadband by making a change

If your broadband bill is making you wince then it could be a good time to make the switch to a new Internet Service Provider (ISP). There are plenty of deals on the market right now but one that looks particularly tempting comes from Vodafone with the UK network offering much cheaper prices to anyone happy to leave their current ISP. In fact, Vodafone is undercutting rivals such as BT and Virgin by as much as £500 depending on what speeds customers opt for. Prices for Vodafone’s new “Switch and Save” plans start from just £19.50 – that’s for its slowest 35Mbps speeds.

If you want something faster then you can opt for 500Mbps for £35 per month or 900Mbps for £60. As a quick example, Virgin Media is currently offering its M500 service for £58 per month which is over £20 more than Vodafone’s plan.

Sky also offers its new 500Mbps service to customers but this currently costs £45 which is £10 more. 

The only thing you need to be aware of is that Vodafone requires users to sign up for a 24-month contract and these prices don’t include the firm’s latest Pro options which help to keep the family online even if the fixed-line broadband goes down.

Vodafone’s Pro broadband also features a Wi-Fi-boosting box and access to dedicated experts should you have any issues. Vodafone is offering 50p off these Pro plans with prices starting from £34.50 per month for 64Mbps speeds.

Vodafone isn’t the firm offering cheap broadband right now with UK firm Hyperoptic also giving customers the chance to grab a hefty discount.

Anyone with this service in their street can get 50Mbps speeds for just £15 per month or 500Mbps for £30.

There’s also a ludicrously fast 1Gbps option for £35 per month which allows users to download a full HD movie in just 40 seconds.
