Sky customers offered cheapest ever broadband and it beats BT on price

Sky has unveiled a new and much cheaper way to get your home connected with the launch of a plan called Superfast 35. This service beams broadband into homes for just £25 per month – that’s the lowest price currently on offer from the satellite TV firm.

For that money you’ll get pretty basic 35Mbps speeds which are fast enough for homes who simply want to browse the web, check emails and watch the odd movie on Netflix.

If that sounds quick enough for your digital needs then there is another bonus of Sky’s Superfast 35 as it comes with something called a speed guarantee.

That means Sky promises your downloads will always stay above 25Mbps or you’ll get a month’s money back.

Speaking about the launch of this new plan Aman Bhatti, Director of Propositions at Sky Broadband, said: “The launch of Superfast 35 demonstrates Sky Broadband’s commitment to providing customers with a range of broadband speeds tailored to their needs. From our latest package for smaller households to our Ultrafast speeds for busy, connected homes, all delivered through our reliable network with outstanding customer service.”

When it comes to these basic speeds Sky is now beating one of its biggest rivals on price.

BT’s Fibre Essential plan, which also features 35Mbps downloads, currently costs £27.99 per month – £2.99 more than Sky.

That makes Superfast 35 sound very good value but it is worth shopping around before you tap the buy button.

A number of UK Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are offering deals that are even cheaper than Sky.
