Sky DOWN: Mobile network users hit with 4G data issues and no signal

Sky down reports are flooding in this afternoon, with users of the Sky Glass and Sky Q makers’ mobile network being hit with problems. Independent outage monitor Down Detector has recorded a spike in Sky down reports beginning from around midday today. Down Detector so far has registered a peak of almost 1,000 Sky down reports while, according to Down Detector stats, the main issues affecting Sky mobile users are phone and internet problems.

Elsewhere, on social media Sky users have reported issues with the Sky Mobile network such as 4G data problems, having no signal and receiving an authentication error.

As the reported Sky network issues hit users took to Twitter to discuss the service problems they were facing.

One tweeted: “Anyone else on sky have literally no signal and no data???????”

While another posted: “@SkyHelpTeam no mobile data or calls available on Sky in the East Mids. What’s happening?”

One added: “@SkyHelpTeam @SkyUK sky mobile is down in Suffolk, unable to make calls and no data.”

And another wrote: “@SkyHelpTeam @SkyUK sky mobile is down in london west?? Can’t make calls no data”.

The official Sky Help Team Twitter account has also been busy responding to customers that have been experiencing service disruption today.

Replying to one, the @SkyHelpTeam account wrote: “We’re aware of a problem with Data and Voice services at the moment and our team are working hard to get things resolved ASAP. My apologies for the frustration caused.”

While in a general comment about the service disruption the Sky Help Team Twitter added: “We are aware that some Sky Mobile customers are experiencing intermittent issues with their service right now.

“We are investigating the issue and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing”.
