Snapchat still crashing on iPhones – fans must follow this simple advice to stop it

If you use Snapchat on your iPhone then you must follow some simple advice before it’s too late. The popular app is suffering some major issues today with thousands of users unable to access the popular service. It seems that a glitch in the latest iOS update is causing the application to crash each time it’s opened.

Snapchat has confirmed the problem with a message on Twitter saying, “We’re aware of an issue with the latest version of Snapchat available in the App Store. Hang tight, we are looking into it and working on a fix!”

If you want to carry on using the service and posting on the platform then it’s vital that you follow some very simple advice.

The crash issues are only affecting the very latest version of Snapchat that was released overnight which is named 11.34.0.35.

As long as you don’t update things, via the Apple App Store, you’ll be able to continue chatting.

However, that’s not the only thing you must check.

You must make sure your automatic app updates are switched off until Snapchat releases as fix as if this setting is on you may find things get downloaded overnight without you touching your phone.

To switch auto app updates off go to Settings > Tap App Store > Turn on or turn off App Updates.

If you’re one of the unlucky ones who has already updated the app there’s nothing you can do except wait for Snapchat to release a fix and it seems there are plenty of users who have suffered this fate.

Social media is now full of fans venting their frustration at not being able to access the service with one tweeting: “Snapchat just wants to crash all day for me huh?”

Whilst another added: “If you have an iPhone… do not update Snapchat, it’ll crash constantly and you won’t be able to use it anymore.”

Fingers crossed a full service will be resumed overnight and Express.co.uk will update this article as soon as we hear more.
