Sony 2022 TV lineup includes QD-OLED displays

TL;DR

  • The Sony 2022 TV lineup just dropped at CES today.
  • The lineup includes two TVs with QD-QLED panels for a brighter display.
  • All of the new Bravia TVs will include the Google TV platform pre-installed.

Among the new Sony 2022 TV models are the 55- and 65-inch Master Series A95K televisions. They will be Sony’s first TVs with a QD-OLED display. QD stands for Quantum Dot, and the panels will allow these TVs to have a much higher brightness level when compared to normal OLED displays. The TVs will also have a stand with two different options for positions. One will push the TV to the front, while the other will place the TV back towards a wall.

The Master Series Z9K televisions will use Mini-LED technology for better contrast, high blacks, and increased brightness. These will also all be 8K resolution televisions and come in 75-inch and 85-inch models. Sony will also launch the X95K televisions with 4K resolutions in 65-, 75-, and 85-inch models, and the X90K models with a full array LED screen in 55-, 65-, 75-, and 85-inch versions.

The A80K series of OLED Sony Bravia televisions will be released in 55-, 65-, and 75-inch versions. Finally, the Master A90K TVs will offer OLED televisions in smaller 42-inch and 48-inch models. The stands of these TVs can also be adjusted so they can be placed on a desktop for some gaming PC action.

Sony 2022 TV lineup: Bravia Cam

Sony will also release a new accessory, the Bravia Cam. This TV camera will be able to detect where a person is sitting and adjust the picture automatically for the most optimized video. The camera will also feature video chat and gesture control options.

The company plans to reveal the release dates and prices for all of these new Bravia TVs sometime later this spring. Expect to pay a premium for these televisions, but they are usually worth the price.
