Sony has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of BRAVIA XR A80J OLED TV series. The series is currently available in a 65-inch screen model and comes powered by the XR cognitive processor. It is equipped with features like XR Motion Clarity technology and XR TRILUMINOS Pro reproduces 3D colour depth.
The 65-inch model of Sony BRAVIA XR A80J OLED TV is priced at Rs 2,99,990. It will be available online via major e-commerce sites along with offline retail stores across the country. Sony says that it will also launch 55-inch and 77-inch screen models soon.

Sony BRAVIA XR A80J OLED TV comes powered by cognitive processor XR and offers XR OLED contrast and brightness. “The Cognitive Processor XR enables our unique display to access a wider palette and reproduce each colour with the subtle differences seen in the real world. With extended hue and saturation, vivid shades and realistic texture can be seen in the flowers making even the pale colours look realistic” Sony says.
Another feature of the new BRAVIA TV is the XR Motion Clarity technology which is said to control moving images precisely to minimise blurs. It is equipped with XR sound position technology along with acoustic surface audio+ to ensure that sound comes directly from the centre of the screen.
The XR Surround technology offers the 3D Surround Upscaling with Dolby Atmos support to produce multi-dimensional sound. Sony BRAVIA A80J offers 4K clarity with the brightness, colour, and detail of High Dynamic Range (HDR). It features Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos as well.
The new TV is HDMI 2.1 compatible and offers variable refresh rate, auto low latency mode and e-ARC along with 4K 120fps. The A80J comes with ambient optimization technology with a light sensor to automatically adjust the picture brightness to room conditions. The acoustic auto calibration technology is said to detect the user’s position and optimize sound.
It also offers hands-free voice search powered by Google Assistant. It also works with Alexa smart devices, Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit.
