Sony has announced two new Native 4K SXRD TM (Silicon X-tal Reflective Display) – VPL-XW7000ES and VPL-XW5000ES – Laser Home projectors, featuring the smallest native 4K SXRD 0.61-inch panel, in India. The two projectors offer the ultimate viewing experience with high resolution and high contrast, packed in a compact chassis.

Sony VPL-XW7000ES is priced at Rs 16,00,000, and VPL-XW5000ES comes at Rs 550,000. The two 4K laser home projectors will go on sale in India from the end of December 2022 exclusively through authorised distributors.

The VPL-XW7000ES, one of Sony’s new Native 4K HDR laser models, comes with 3,200 lumens of brightness and a Live Color Enhancer, providing high-quality and vivid pictures even in bright light, making it the perfect for living rooms. This model also features a new 70mm diameter Advanced Crisp Focused (ACF) lens with an aspherical front element and floating focus group that promises to deliver clarity with extreme details on the large screen.
The VPL-XW5000ES comes with 2,000 lumens brightness, higher contrast, and resolution while consuming a 30% reduced power per lumen. The projector offers object-based HDR remastering for real-time picture processing. This model covers 95% DCI-P3 Color Gamut.
These two laser projectors feature input lag reduction mode, which claims to improve the reaction speed of the display during gaming while also ensuring detailed image quality. The new XW range projectors support 2K 120Hz input with 13ms input lag.
Compared to its predecessor, the VPL-XW7000ES is 20% smaller in size and 30% lighter in weight. Meanwhile, the VPL-XW5000ES is the most compact native 4K laser home projector in the world.
