studio display: Apple says that some of the Studio Display features will not work with Windows

Apple has made it clear that the Centre Stage and Spatial Audio features of its newly unveiled Studio Display will only work with compatible Mac or MacBook devices, as per a report by Techradar. This implies that if a Windows user were to buy the 27-inch Studio Display, they won’t be able to use these two features of the device.
The Centre Stage feature of the Studio Display can adjust the zoom and the pan of the 12MP webcam so that it focuses on you no matter where you are in the field of view of the webcam. The 12MP camera comes with a 122-degree field of view and with the help of the Centre Stage feature–which has come to Mac for the very first time–it keeps the person in focus centred in the frame, which means you could actually get up from your chair while in a video call and still be in the centre while you move around a bit. Centre Stage also makes the camera zoom out or in whenever some joins or leaves the video call.
Spatial Audio, on the other hand, utilises Dolby Atmos technology for a 3D cinematic sound experience through the six speakers (four woofers and two tweeters) in the Studio Display.
Both these features come powered by the A13 Bionic chip, which is also the one powering the iPhone 11, iPhone SE and the recent iPads. And, as per Techradar, Apple has confirmed to the publication that “any A13-dependant features of the Studio Display will only work if you connect a supported Mac or MacBook to the monitor.” So, with an incompatible device, the 12MP webcam’s Centre Stage feature won’t work and as such, the webcam will function as a regular one. Also, no Dolby Atmos sound for the connected device.
