While Gotham Knights is about the younger members in the Batman Family stepping up to justify their inclusion as crime fighters in Batman’s team, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League gives its major plot away by just its title. Yes, Amanda Waller’s team of “the worst of the worst of the worst” is going to take on the “World’s Greatest Superheroes” in the game which is slated for launch next year. It is an unfair match and for all we know, is going to end up with some other outcome than the Suicide Squad dispatching a Justice League member to his/her grave.
The new story trailer for the game shows glimpses of the trinity of the DC Universe in action and Green Lantern Jon Stewart. You’ll see Superman using his heat vision and superhuman strength, Wonder Woman’s lasso of truth and the Batmobile in hot pursuit.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an open-world action game featuring Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark. But why go against the good guys who are considerably more powerful than them? Why would Amanda Waller make them? Maybe because the Justice League has got ‘corrupted’. Take a look yourself.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is being made by Rocksteady Studios, famous for their Arkham games featuring Batman. Though the Arkham game universe was killed off by the studio with Arkham Knight, which was the last Batman game, people would like to see a standalone game featuring the Dark Knight again, as with all things Batman. Currently, the creative project that is looking to be DC’s biggest cash cow is the all-new Batman live-action film ‘The Batman’ starring Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader. Pattinson would be playing the role of the iconic DC superhero for the first time. The Batman will hit theatres on March 4 next year.
