tecno: Tecno made fun of Apple and Samsung for this soon-to-launch phone – Times of India
Last year, Tecno’s global Twitter handle shared a series of tweets in which it mocked Apple and Samsung. The posts, which are now deleted, had the respective companies’ logo lookalikes in the accompanying image. In tweets the company was promoting its flagship smartphone, Tecno Phantom X. At that time, the smartphone was only available in selected markets excluding India.
Now, in a latest tweet, the company has revealed that the Tecno Phantom X will be launched in India on April 29. Tecno has been teasing several features of the upcoming smartphone such as the 108MP camera, dual-selfie camera for a while now. In India, the smartphone is expected to be priced around Rs 25,000. The smartphone is said to have similar specifications as the Nigerian model.
Tecno Phantom X specifications in Nigeria
The Tecno Phantom X features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ curved AMOLED display. The display gets 2340 × 1080 pixels resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The display also gets Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood, the Tecno Phantom X is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
When it comes to camera, the smartphone gets a triple rear camera setup with 50MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 13MP portrait sensor. For video calls and selfies, the Tecno Phantom X comes with a 48MP + 8MP dual camera setup at front.
The smartphone is backed by a 4700mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. In Nigeria, the smartphone is available in two colour options – Starry Night Blue and Monet Summer.
