The best AT&T phones to buy – updated September 2022
Allow us to be your guide.
Best AT&T cell phones available right now:
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4
iPhone 14 Pro Max
The iPhone 14 Pro Max is Apple’s best and most advanced new iPhone, with a Dynamic Island punch-hole, higher-res 48MP camera, a large 6.7-inch Samsung-made OLED display with 1-120Hz refresh rate and an always-on display functionality. The phone comes Apple’s new A16 Bionic chipset, 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and will available in the following storage variants: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and the range-topping 1TB version.
Another big selling point of the iPhone 14 Pro Max might be its camera and its new 48MP sensor. It uses an 1/1.3-inch sensor and utilizes quad-binning in order to achieve much better detail and low-light image quality in comparison with Apple’s 12MP cameras of old.

Google Pixel 6 Pro
With excellent performance, good battery life, superb P-OLED display, and a great camera package, the Pixel 6 Pro brings back the “wow” factor that was somewhat lost in the most recent Pixel phones. The Pixel 6 Pro is certainly a device that isn’t late to the game, but instead up there with the competition, while simultaneously keeping the pricing surprisingly adequate and attaining an insane bang for the buck. Starting at $899, the Google Pixel 6 Pro is the best premium Android smartphone money can buy in late 2021, and certainly the best phone Google has made so far, more than a viable alternative to the iPhones and Galaxies out there.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
This phone truly has it all: a 4-camera system with a long-range periscope zoom lens, a built-in S Pen that doesn’t come at the expense of battery size, the latest and most powerful Android processor, the newest generation Samsung AMOLED display… basically, everything it takes for a blockbuster flagship. Oh, and then add a few bonus features on top like a record-breaking screen brightness, more granular refresh rate and a few fancy colors. Of course, all of that comes at a premium $1,200 price, but not much higher than last year’s model, despite the many new features.
Samsung Galaxy S22
iPhone 14
The iPhone 14 is a minor update of the iPhone 13 workhorse, with the same design, marginally faster version of the A15 chipset, more RAM, faster 5G modem, slightly bigger battery, and emergency satellite connectivity. All of this comes with a new blue color in tow at the same $799 introductory price for the iPhone range.

iPhone SE (2022)
The freshest iPhone SE, released earlier in 2022, is the most affordable iPhone you could get on AT&T. With the A15 Bionic chipset, it has plenty of power, but its aged design, small display for the size, and just-“okay” camera make it rather hard sell.
Normally, the phone will cost you $11.95 a month for the base 64GB version, while the 256GB version will set you back $16.12 a month. Outright, the price of admission in the iPhone SE (2022) club on AT&T is $429.99. A trade-in could drive the costs down, though.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE
The fresh new Galaxy S21 FE is available on AT&T starting January 11, 2022. The 128GB will be selling up for $699.99 and the 256 GB one will cost $769. 99. And for a limited time only, you can get the device at $15/mo. for the 128GB or $20/mo. for the 256GB on a qualifying installment plan with no trade-in required.
Despite the delays, the Galaxy S21 FE has shaped up to be an intriguing phone whose existence has only been marred by its close competitors, namely coming from Samsung itself. Powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset and featuring a rare 3X optical camera telephoto, the Galaxy S21 FE is a good choice for those not phased by the upcoming Galaxy S22 series.
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G
The Galaxy A53 is Samsung’s latest attempt at solidifying its mid-range presence around the globe. Admittedly, the A53 5G isn’t a perfect device, suffering from the lack of a headphone jack, unflattering haptics, and a slow fingerprint scanner. Still, it’s an excellent offering with good battery life, solid camera performance, and an exotic microSD card slot, even.
