Remember that Samsung offers devices for all markets, and they’re often not released everywhere. This is especially the case for lower-end devices which are often targeted at specific markets. Many of these will not be available in the USA, at least officially. Some might only be available in Europe, while others might be for emerging markets, and so on.

Samsung Galaxy A53

Ryan Haines / Android Authority

Samsung’s Galaxy A50 series offers some of the best value per buck in the market. These devices are great-looking, come with good mid-end specs, and in some areas, they have started to step into the higher-end spectrum of the market. The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is no exception, and we’re sure most of you will find it a great balance, somewhere between the super low-end handsets and more expensive gadgets.

The device’s price sits comfortably at a $449.99 MSRP for starters. This means it competes with the likes of the iPhone SE (2022) and the Pixel 5a. Standout features include 5G support, an AMOLED display with a 120HZ refresh rate, a quad-camera setup, and a large 5,000mAh battery. It’s also rated IP67.

The processor has been upgraded to an Exynos 1280, which is a good step up from the Snapdragon 750G found on the Galaxy A52 5G. This is all but guaranteed to be a hit in 2022, especially as consumers start getting more interested in budget-friendly phones that still offer a great experience.

Samsung Galaxy A53 specs:

  • Display: 6.5-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Exynos 1280
  • RAM: 4/6/8GB
  • Storage: 128/256GB
  • Cameras: 64, 12, 5, and 5MP
  • Front camera: 32MP

Samsung Galaxy A33

The Galaxy A33 comes with a 6.4-inch display with a dew drop-shaped notch up top for the 13MP selfie camera. Inside, there’s a Samsung’s own Exynos 1280 processor with as much as 8GB of RAM. You can get this phone with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, with a microSD card slot for additional storage.

You also get a big 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging support. As expected at this price point, there’s no wireless charging on board. The rear camera has four sensors. You get a 48MP primary camera, combined with an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth camera.

This phone targets young people who may not have a lot of money to get a flagship device but still want a phone that looks good, performs decently, and comes with 5G support. It’s a great option if you’re looking for one of the best cheap Samsung phones.

Other specs include 4-8GB of RAM, 64-128GB of storage, and a massive 5,000mAh battery.

Folks in India might also want to take a look at the newer Samsung Galaxy A23. The phone hasn’t reached any other markets yet, but it’s a worthy alternative to the A22. The differences aren’t huge, but it’s always nice to have a newer handset.

Samsung Galaxy A13 5G

Ryan Haines / Android Authority

The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is starting to get closer to the low-end of the pricing spectrum, but this is still one of the best cheap Samsung devices if you still want a reasonably good experience for a low price.

You’ll still get a Dimensity 700 and 4GB of RAM. Internal storage is limited to 64GB, and you still get to enjoy a 5,000mAh battery. You’ll see a downgrade on the 6.5-inch 720p screen. And while the triple camera setup isn’t great, having three cameras on the phone at this price is nice.

  • Display: 6.5-inch, HD+

  • RAM: 4GB
  • Storage: 64GB

We get right into entry-level territory with the Samsung Galaxy A03s. This phone isn’t going to win any performance awards, but it has a few advantages that make it worth considering for anyone on a budget.

The screen is quite large, coming in at 6.5 inches and an HD+ resolution. Other specs and features include 32 or 64GB of expandable storage, a 5,000mAh battery, and Android 11 with Samsung’s One UI on top. All is powered by a Mediatek Helio P35 and 2-4GB of RAM. The build isn’t great, and we’re not fans of the performance, but it’s a very affordable phone that costs well under $200.

The only problem with this phone is that it was initially hard to get in the USA, but it’s now readily available to all Americans.

Samsung Galaxy A03s specs:

  • Display: 6.5-inch, HD+
  • SoC: Mediatek Helio P35
  • RAM: 3/4GB
  • Storage: 32/64GB
  • Cameras: 13, 2, and 2MP
  • Front camera: 5MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Software: Android 11

Samsung Galaxy M53

This phone has a lot going for it, although it’s tough to get in the USA since it hasn’t been officially released in the country for now. But it’s an excellent option for those in Europe and other regions.

The Galaxy M53 is a great mid-range device. It comes with Mediatek’s Dimensity 9000 chipset, as much as 8GB of RAM, and four rear cameras. You also get a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging, a microSD card slot, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, among other things.

In terms of power and features, the handset competes with Samsung’s own Galaxy A53, offering more in some areas and less in others. If you’re choosing between the two, we recommend you go with the A53.

Samsung Galaxy M53 specs:

  • Display: 6.7-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Mediatek Dimensity 900
  • RAM: 6/8GB
  • Storage: 128/256GB
  • Cameras: 108, 8, 2, and 2MP
  • Front camera: 32MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Software: Android 12

Samsung Galaxy M52 5G

Dhruv Bhutani / Android Authority

The Samsung Galaxy M series serves the mid-tier and low-end market, and it does very well at that. The Samsung Galaxy M52 5G has a less-than-respectable build quality, and we’re not fans of the cameras, but it does very well in other areas for the price you pay.

The Snapdragon 778G processor does very well with most tasks and even some light gaming. The amount of RAM is very good at 6/8GB, and you get a large 5,000mAh battery. Something else you’ll see in this phone that you might not see in devices at its price range is a very nice 120Hz refresh rate on the 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen.

The phone isn’t readily available in the USA, but it can be imported, and you should definitely consider it if you live in a market where it’s available.

Samsung Galaxy M52 5G specs:

  • Display: 6.7-inch, HD+
  • SoC: Snapdragon 778G
  • RAM: 6/8GB
  • Storage: 128GB
  • Cameras: 64, 12, and 5MP
  • Front camera: 32MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Software: Android 11

Samsung Galaxy M33

This phone will likely never make it to the USA, but it’s popular in other markets, especially in India. It’s actually better in India, where it comes with a massive 6,000mAh battery, as opposed to the 5,000mAh other markets get.

Next: The best cheap Android phones available

The Galaxy M33 sports a Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, it’s an LCD panel and not an AMOLED one. You also get a quad-camera setup, Samsung’s Exynos 1280 chipset, and up to 8GB of RAM. Then there’s the microSD card slot and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

It’s a worthy contestant in the best cheap Samsung phones list. You should consider it if you can get it.

Samsung Galaxy M33 specs:

  • Display: 6.6-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Exynos 1280
  • RAM: 6/8GB
  • Storage: 128GB
  • Cameras: 50, 5, 2, and 2MP
  • Front camera: 20MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh (6,000mAh in India)
  • Software: Android 12

Samsung Galaxy M23

The Samsung Galaxy M23 offers less than the M33, but it also costs less. You get the same screen and battery, but the base model comes with less RAM. You also get three cameras instead of four and a slightly slower but still capable Snapdragon 750G chipset

There’s a microSD card slot on board, just like on most other Samsung budget devices, and the fingerprint scanner is located on the side. It’s a relatively new device too, having been launched just two months ago.

While it doesn’t offer the best specs and features, this is still a great phone that’s worthy of being on this list of the best cheap Samsung phones.

Samsung Galaxy M23 specs:

  • Display: 6.6-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Snapdragon 750G
  • RAM: 4/6GB
  • Storage: 128GB
  • Cameras: 50, 8, and 2MP
  • Front camera: 8MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Software: Android 12

Samsung Galaxy Galaxy F23

Here’s one last option for the best cheap Samsung phones, and this one is exclusive to India. It’s a pretty good offering considering the starting price of Rs. 17,499 (~$230). This relatively low price gets you a Snapdragon 750G processor, a 6.6-inch Full HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a large 5,000mAh battery. These are all specs worthy of a much more expensive handset.

Additionally, Samsung is generous with its software update promise, pledging to give you two years of OS updates and four years of security updates. The Samsung Galaxy F23 comes with a triple rear camera system. These include a 50MP primary shooter, 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera. An 8MP camera handles selfies.

Samsung Galaxy F23 specs:

  • Display: 6.6-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Snapdragon 750G
  • RAM: 4/6GB
  • Storage: 128GB
  • Cameras: 50, 8, and 2MP
  • Front camera: 8MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Software: Android 12
