The OnePlus 10T with a few tweaks
OnePlus has offered the R-series of phones for a couple of generations now, being mid-range propositions with plenty of power and fast charging capabilities. Now, the company has launched the OnePlus 11R alongside the flagship OnePlus 11.
The OnePlus 11R definitely takes a few cues from the OnePlus 11 when it comes to aesthetics, featuring a near-identical rear camera housing that spills over the side of the phone. You’ve even got an alert slider here, which is a welcome return after it went missing on the OnePlus 10T and OnePlus 10R.
OnePlus 11R specs
In saying so, the OnePlus 11R definitely seems like the OnePlus 10T with a few changes. You’ve got the same Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, which means gamers and others who want a super-smooth experience should be happy here.
Switch to the front, and you’ve got a 6.74-inch 120Hz OLED screen here (2,772 x 1,240), with the company touting the ability to switch between 120Hz, 90Hz, 60Hz, 45Hz, and 40Hz. This isn’t quite as dynamic as LTPO displays, which drop down to 10Hz or even 1Hz, but it’s good to have nonetheless and bests the OnePlus 10T panel.
It’s also worth noting that the OnePlus Ace 2 — which is the OnePlus 11R for the Chinese market — uses Asahi Glass for protection rather than Gorilla Glass. We’re guessing this was done for cost reasons, and it stands to reason that the same change applies to the OnePlus 11R.

On the battery and charging front, the phone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and 100W wired charging. In fact, OnePlus says the phone should go from zero to 100% capacity in 25 minutes. You won’t get wireless charging here though, in line with the standard OnePlus 11.
Switch to the cameras, and you’ll find a near-identical triple rear system as the OnePlus 10T, consisting of a 50MP IMX890 main camera, 8MP ultrawide lens, and 2MP macro shooter. We wouldn’t expect much from anything other than the primary lens. Otherwise, a 16MP camera is available up-front for selfies.
Other notable features include Bluetooth 5.3, dual stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, and USB 2.0 speeds.
OnePlus 11R pricing and availability
Those expecting wide availability might be disappointed, as the OnePlus 11R is exclusive to India (and available in China as the aforementioned OnePlus Ace 2). The phone will cost Rs. 39,999 for the 8/128GB model and Rs. 44,999 for the 16/256GB model. Pre-orders begin on February 21, and general sales start on February 28. The phone will be available in Sonic Black and Galactic Silver colorways.
Remember that the phone seems like the OnePlus 10T with a few tweaks, for better or worse. So you might want to consider the late 2022 flagship as well before settling on the OnePlus 11R.
