The Oppo Find N2 Flip tipped to launch globally ‘soon’

2023 is shaping up to be one of the most important years for foldables yet. Not only because so many new and exciting devices are coming out, but also because Samsung’s monopoly over the Western part of the market seems to be coming to an end.

Finally, Chinese manufacturers are taking the plunge and releasing their devices internationally. Most tech enthusiasts already know that China is the country of foldables and many exceptional devices with the novel form factor, unfortunately, never manage to make it past the country’s borders. Luckily, the Oppo Find N2 Flip will not be one of them.

Based on most reports, Oppo should be launching its clamshell-style foldable in a number of Western markets. The latest confirmation comes from a new leak, originally brought forward in a tweet, and subsequently covered by 9to5Google in a dedicated article.

According to the source we can expect the Find N2 Flip to make its European and global debut shortly. More specifically, the foldable is expected to launch internationally at MWC Barcelona (commonly referred to as Mobile World Congress). For reference, the event is scheduled to take place between February 27th and March 2nd.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip will directly challenge the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. The former has a number of selling points that could potentially attract the attention of buyers internationally. This includes a nearly creaseless display (courtesy of the hinge mechanism Oppo employs), the lack of a gap when the device is folded and a bigger cover screen.

This does not necessarily make the Find N2 Flip superior to the Galaxy Flip 4, but translates to effective competition in a segment that often looks like a one-horse race. According to the leak, Oppo’s foldable will be powered by the Dimensity 9000+ chipset, which means the device will be no slouch in the performance department either. All in all, when it comes to foldables internationally – the more, the merrier.
