The Redmi Note 11 series has plenty of fans

The Redmi Note 11 range was announced in China last week, picking up where the Redmi Note 10 series left off and seemingly following the tradition of offering good bang for your buck.

Are these latest phones actually intriguing purchases though? We asked Android Authority readers for their thoughts on the Redmi Note 11 series, and here’s how they voted.

We posted the poll in our Redmi Note 11 series announcement article on October 28, subsequently gathering over 2,000 votes as of writing. The result was that more than 70% of respondents thought the new phones were hot stuff.

One of the big upgrades this time is in the charging arena. The base model brings 33W charging that’s in line with quite a few previous Redmi phones, but the Pro and Pro Plus offer 67W and 120W charging respectively. 120W charging in particular is rare on flagships, let alone mid-range phones.

Otherwise, the Pro and Pro Plus share a couple of features with the Redmi Note 10 Pro series, namely a 108MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide shooter, and 120Hz OLED screen.

Just over 27% of polled readers say the Redmi Note 11 range isn’t hot though. We didn’t get many comments on this one, but two comments pointed to the lack of an OLED panel on the vanilla Note 11 as well as the use of Mediatek power. It’s also worth noting that the Note 11 Pro Plus sees a notable drop in battery capacity (4,500mAh), albeit in exchange for faster charging.

• Alessandro87: no phone with snapdragon????? wow. it is the first redmi note line to have ONLY mediatek 🙁 oh no….. and the custom roms?
• Dogeanimupower: The base model has an IPS panel? The the Note 10 released earlier had an Oled panel. That’s a massive downgrade especially if it’s not as bright as the oled one. I’ll wait the reviews to see for myself.
