These entry-level phones from Redmi and Poco may get Android 12 update

Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9 and Poco M2 phones are said to receive the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update soon. According to an online report, all three smartphones have received the update internally. The leak, however, could not provide an exact timeline as to when the Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9 and Poco M2 will receive the update.

To recall, all three handsets were launched in 2020 with MIUI 11. Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9 and Poco M2 have already received the Android 11 update last year. Android 12 will be the second major update that the device will get. If not many, Xiaomi has a reputation of giving at least two Android updates to its devices. It is likely that Android 12-based MIUI 13 could be the last update for Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9 and Poco M2.
