Android 12 features

Android 12 brings the new material design dubbed Material You to the Android. The Material You features big, bubbly buttons, shifting colours, and smoother animations. With Material You, Android 12 will be more personalised and expressive. The Material You allows Android 12 to shift the colour palette based on the wallpapers dynamically. Google says, “Based on the wallpaper you choose, the system will automatically determine which colours are dominant and apply them across the entire OS: the notification shade, the lock screen, the volume controls, new widgets and much more,” in its blog. Further, the Android 12 brings more changes to the animations and overall design of the Android.

The new iteration of Android also improves on the security and privacy front. The Android 12 adds a new privacy dashboard that offers a single view of permissions settings and gives users an option to revoke the permission. There’s also a new privacy indicator that shows up if some app is accessing your camera or microphone. It also approximate location permissions and Privacy Compute Core.
