Third generation Apple iPhone SE with 5G tipped to launch in April
Rumour mill has already been churning leaks and alleged specifications about the third generation iPhone SE model. Adding to the list is a new report by display industry consultant Ross Young which says that Apple suppliers will begin producing display panels for the 2022 model of iPhone SE this month. Final assembly of the phone may start in March with the expected launch in the second half of April or early May this year.
Apple announces the iPhone SE models in the spring. The original iPhone SE was launched in March 2016, while the second-generation debuted in April 2020. A report by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg recently suggested that the Cupertino-based company may hold a spring event to unveil the third-generation iPhone SE and other new devices.
In 2021, Apple’s spring event was held on April 20. The company then announced the AirTag, new iPad Pro and 24-inch iMac models powered by the M1 chip, a new Apple TV 4K, and a purple color option for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini.
