Samsung is reportedly working on a new Galaxy M series device– Samsung Galaxy M53 5G. The smartphone is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G on March 17. Samsung Galaxy M53 5G will succeed the Galaxy M52 launched last year.
Alleged specs and prices of the upcoming phone have appeared online. According to a report by The Pixel, the handset is tipped to be priced between USD 450-480 (roughly translates to Rs 34,500 and Rs 37,000). It means that the Galaxy M53 5G will be costlier than the Galaxy M52. For those unaware, Galaxy M52 has two RAM models – 6GB and 8GB paired with 128GB storage capacity. The 6GB RAM variant costs Rs 24,999, while the 8GB RAM model is priced at Rs 26,999.
Samsung Galaxy M53 5G expected specifications
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy M53 5G smartphone has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. As per the listing, the handset may be equipped with a 6.7-inch full HD+ S-AMOLED screen. The phone’s display may offer a refresh rate of 120Hz.
It may feature a punch-hole camera cutout to house the selfie sensor. The handset may offer a 32MP camera for selfies. On the rear, the smartphone is said to feature a quad-camera. The setup may consist of a 108MP main camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth camera and a 2MP portrait lens.
As per the Geekbench listing, the handset may come powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. It may be paired with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone scored 733 and 2,224 points in single-core and multi-core tests on Geekbench. The phone will likely run on Android 12 with One UI 4.0 on top.
