WhatsApp recently announced several new features for its app. Communities, emoji reactions, new voice call design and other features announced by the company will soon be rolled out with the upcoming updates. All these features were already spotted in several beta updates for iOS and Android platforms. Another feature that has been spotted in the recent beta versions is the ability to create a poll within a group. Now, in a latest report, WABetaInfo has shared a screenshot of how WhatsApp group poll feature may look like.
As per the report, if you have not voted for an option in the poll, you will be able to see the question for the poll in a message followed by the options. To vote, you will have to select an option and tap on the ‘Vote’ button. Once you vote, your choice will be shared with the other participants of the group. The report suggests that the group polls, available options, and your answer, are all end-to-end encrypted.
As the feature is still under development, you can not create or send polls. It is also known how many options can be given for a poll. According to the report, the feature will still take some time to reach the roll out stage.
The feature to create a group poll was already available on Facebook Messengers and will also be available on Instagram soon. Till now, the option to create a poll was only available for Instagram Stories. With the new feature, you will be able to receive results in a poll from a selected bunch of users.
