This is Microsoft’s next big idea for Windows – Times of India

Microsoft is rumoured to be working on a cloud-based PC idea for a while now. With the service, likely to be termed as ‘Cloud PC’, the company is proposing the idea of Windows anywhere.
The service will allow users to stream Windows 10 or Windows 11 from anywhere on any device be it iOS, Android or Mac and access all their data, software and apps.
Windows Latest has reported that Microsoft has a job listing (now removed) which mentions that the Cloud PC could be marketed as the next step in personal computing.
The website also mentions that the Cloud PC from Microsoft will support Windows and macOS along with Android and iOS.
Another report suggests that Microsoft might unveil the Cloud PC during its ‘Inspite Event’ which is scheduled for later this year. However, there’s no solid confirmation available regarding the same. Microsoft has also been keeping a low profile about the whole Cloud PC idea as of now.
Also it is expected that the Cloud PC service will initially arrive with Windows 10 and the Window 11 upgrade will be available once the operating system becomes public.
As per Windows Latest report, the Cloud PC will be a part of Microsoft 365 service. The Cloud PC service will be available in multiple configurations with different amounts of RAM, storage and CPU.
The service will be paid and will be optimised for personal computing allowing users to run regular apps and softwares including Microsoft Office apps.
