The second edition of The Times of India Gadgets Now Awards celebrated and honoured the best gadgets of 2021 that made our lives easy and convenient during the ongoing pandemic. There were 15 product categories in all including smartphones, laptops, tablets, gaming devices, audio devices and wearables. The eminent Jury that decided the Jury Choice award winners comprised of Navkendar Singh, Research Director, Client Devices & IPDS, IDC India; Prateep Dasgupta, Data & Analytics Director, BCG GAMMA; Sumit Gulati, executive editor at Times of India digital and Manisha Singh, Technology Editor, TOI Digital.
How the winners were awarded
Jury and adjudication process
1. All product nominations have been selected by Times of India Tech-Gadgets Now’s editorial team.
2. All nominated products launched between January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021.
3. All nominated products have been reviewed by the Gadgets Now team.
4. There are two sets of awards — Times of India-Gadgets Now Award and Times of India-Gadgets Now People’s Choice Award.
5. Audience voting will carry 100% weightage for the Times of India-Gadgets Now People’s Choice Award.
The winners for the Jury awards have been selected through a rigorous process using parameters like utility, user experience, innovation, durability and more.
Our esteemed jury rigorously sifted through the nominations and decided on the gadgets they think stood out as the best new ones in India during the past year.
Apart from the jury awards, we also have the ‘People’s Choice’ award winners for each category as well. They reflect what readers think and are based on online voting for the nominated products.
