Top 10 phones with the best battery under Rs 25,000

Battery life on smartphones is one of the most crucial aspects for most people, and one that affects their daily usage, as well as their purchase decisions when they’re looking for a new device. A day doesn’t go by without glancing at that rectangular slab in the pocket a countless number of times, even if you don’t actively use it for making calls. As such, any smartphone that can offer good battery life can become a reason to upgrade. Of course, many other factors, such as the SoC running underneath the hood, the display quality, camera performance, etc also play a part, but a beefy battery can let you use your smartphone and stay connected without the need to hunt for a charger every now and then. Here is our top 10 list of the latest smartphones with the best battery life that you can buy for under Rs 25,000.

Samsung Galaxy F62: Rs 17,999

The Galaxy F62 (review) packs in a 7,000mAh battery under the hood which is the highest capacity that you can get on smartphones in the Indian market. The phone manages to score about 16 hours 57 minutes on PCMark’s battery test, though in our review of the phone, running a continuous video loop on the device yielded a result of 37 hours, which is the highest we’ve seen on any device yet. The F62 is capable of running for a full two days on a single charge with normal usage, with the 7nm Exynos 9825 processor helping in this regard too. The only hiccup is the relatively slow 25W charging which takes about 50 minutes to an hour to charge 50 percent of the battery.

Moto G60: Rs 16,499

The Moto G60 (review) does not come with the beefiest battery on this list but it sure does last for a very long time. During our review of the device, its 6,000mAh cell lasted for nearly two days on regular usage before we had to think about plugging it in for charging. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G running underneath the hood is quite efficient at power management, despite the 120Hz 6.8-inch screen on offer. On PCMark, the device returned the highest score in this list at 21 hours and 28 minutes. However, the 20W charging speeds are a bummer as it takes about 2.5 hours to completely juice up the phone.

POCO X3 Pro: Rs 18,999

There is something to be said about the Snapdragon 860 chipset which is running on the POCO X3 Pro (review). While the device has a smaller 5,160mAh battery compared to a couple of others on the list, it still managed an excellent PCMark score of 21 hours and 14 minutes. In our review of the X3 Pro, we mentioned that the phone can easily deliver up to 6 hours of screen-on time which is pretty amazing considering the 120Hz screen. The phone’s 33W charging speed can fill your phone from 0-100 percent in 100 minutes.

Xiaomi Mi 10i: Rs 21,999

While the Mi 10i (review) is the oldest smartphone on the list, it’s still a battery champ while having the smallest capacity cell amongst all. The 4,820mAh cell is paired with the Snapdragon 750G chipset, and delivers a PCMark score of 18 hours and 47 minutes which is quite impressive. It can also charge at quick speeds of 33W which fills up the phone’s battery in about an hour. We constantly got more than 6 hours of screen on time with up to 25 percent battery to spare afterwards. One reason for the good battery life is the Mi 10i’s ability to dynamically adjust its screen refresh rate from 120Hz all the way down to 30Hz to conserve battery.

iQOO Z5: Rs 23,990

The iQOO Z5 (review) is packed with a 5,000mAh battery and runs the new Snapdragon 778G chipset under the hood. In our review, the Z5’s battery life is termed as moderate and on PCMark, it got a score of 18 hours and 23 minutes which happens to be quite good for the battery capacity. There is no dynamic switching of the display’s 120Hz refresh rate which does contribute to more power drain than needed. Nevertheless, the iQOO Z5 will very easily last through the day and perhaps even a part of the next day without requiring to be charged. When it does require to be juiced up, the 44W brick inside the box is plenty fast.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Max: Rs 16,999

With a 5,000mAh cell and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chipset behind it, the Note 10 Pro Max (review) is definitely a top contender on this list. In our review of the phone, the adjustable refresh rate of 120Hz and the AMOLED panel helped the device attain a nearly 6 hours screen-on time quite easily. On PCMark’s battery test, the score of the device is 16 hours and 07 minutes which can be considered decent for what the battery capacity on offer. It has a 33W charging support which enables relatively fast charging of the device in about 80 minutes.

Realme 8S: Rs 17,999

The only Realme phone to feature on this list is the Realme 8S (review) which comes with a sizeable 5,000mAh battery and a power-efficient MediaTek Dimensiyy 800 at the helm. The PCMark score for the device is average at 14 hours and 35 minutes but its real-world usage time is much better. Having a variable 90Hz refresh rate, the Realme 8S is very easily a one-day device with up to 30-40 percent left by the end of the day. It also packs in fast 33W charging to quickly fill up the battery.

Samsung Galaxy M32: Rs 14,999

While the Galaxy M32 (review) can boast of a huge 6,000mAh battery, its efficiency is slightly up for debate. It runs on the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset which is slightly old now. Even still the phone manages to get a decent score of 17 hours and 57 minutes on PCMark. Our review of the device also concluded that the phone runs the entirety of a workday which is helped by the fact that the display refreshes at 90Hz. On the downside, the 15W charging inside the box takes more than two hours for a full charge.

POCO M3 Pro: Rs 14,499

POCO’s knack for making lasting smartphones that perform great is one of the main reasons it has succeeded in the Indian market. The M3 Pro (review) is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and the Dimensity 700 chipset. It actually has the highest PCMark score at 21 hours and 39 minutes. Even so, in real life, the device manages the full day on a single charge but will long for the charger early next morning. The 18W charging brick will be able to restore the battery in about 1 and a half hours.

Redmi Note 10S: Rs 15,388

Xiaomi has usually had a good knack for battery management on its devices and the Redmi Note 10S (review) does appear to build on that. The phone packs in a 5,000mAh cell which is paired with the Helio G95 chipset. Our review concluded it to last for the entire day with up to 5 hours screen-on time. Thankfully it also comes with fast 33W charging to refuel the phone in about an hour. The device’s PCMark score settles at 16 hours and 41 minutes which is helped by the fact that the phone has a 60Hz display.
