Twitter back after 2 hours-plus outage – Times of India

Twitter is back after a major outage that lasted over 2 hours. According to the Downdetector website, the outage started around 5PM IST. Downdetector website tracks internet outages across the globe. The website is now showing Twitter working fine.
Twitter users reported issues with the Twitter app as well as the website. While the domain Twitter opened, Tweets were not loading properly.
The extent of outage is not known yet as Twitter app as well as Twitter Web worked fine for some users while for others it didn’t. Similarly, how many users globally were affected too is not known, but as per tweets and Downdetector, Twitter users in the US did face outage.
“Tweets aren’t loading right now,” is the message that appeared for users for whom the microblogging platform was not working. Incidentally, Twitter’s own status page showed an “All Systems Operational” message. There was no mention of any glitch on the page.
This is the second major outage suffered by Twitter this year. Twitter went down twice in a week in February this year. This is the first outage since the company’s ‘troubles’ with Tesla CEO Elon Musk started.
