Twitter investigating bug that unexpectedly logs out iPhone users – Times of India

In the past week, several Apple iPhone users have complained about a bug in the Twitter app. As reported by users, the Twitter app is unexpectedly logging them out of their accounts. The bug is primarily targeting the users who have installed the latest iOS build, iOS 15, on their iPhones. Users have also reported that they are logged out of their accounts repeatedly whenever they log in again. Twitter has acknowledged the issue and has confirmed that it is investigating it.
“Can you see this or did you get logged out? We’re looking into a bug that’s causing unexpected logouts on iOS 15. Sorry for the inconvenience and we’ll keep you updated on the fix.” shared Twitter Support handle. The replies on the tweets indicate that a fair amount of users were facing this issue.
It is also worth noting that the bug reportedly affects every account that is logged in on the app. It means if you use multiple Twitter accounts on the app, the bug will log you out of all of them.
This week, Twitter also rolled out an update that prevents tweets from disappearing while users are reading them. The micro blogging platform rolled out the fix after users complained about the issue. The company announced the plan to roll out the fix in September when it tweeted “Over the next two months, we’ll be rolling out updates to the way we show you Tweets so they don’t disappear.”
The fix for the issue was rolled out in the previous week but it was only available for users on the web. This week, the company announced that with the latest update, the feature is now also available for iOS devices as well. “We’ve made some updates on iOS to prevent Tweets from disappearing mid-read. Now when you pause your timeline scrolling to look at a Tweet, it should stay put!” shared Twitter’s support handle.
